After I left school I moved to Stockholm, and for a couple of years I worked there on ”långvård” (long-term care), nursing senile old people. How many butts I washed, how many mouths I fed, I cannot count, and have to say that I liked to work there, too. I always say that it was the socially most valuable job I’ve ever had. Also, as a young man, it was good to see where most of us end up if we stay alive long enough. Previous Message
My last job on a ward was in a dementia ward, and I was there for nearly 10 years. By far my favourite ward, but equally heart-breaking.

somewhere talking to a gentleman with dementia who was at the game. Wonderful thing to watch after losing my mum and dad to that evil disease. Well done to whoever put that together. 💙💙💙
