2 very good sides Seeler, Helmut Haller, and the Kaiser Beckenbauer were very good footballers and England Bobby Charlton, Alan Ball and obviously Geoff Hurst stood out for me.
Reading the history of the World Cups and for me the first meaningful competition was 1954 when more teams were taking part before then was a bit farcical with a select number of teams taking part and not many good ones.

Just my opinion but over 90mins West Germany were the better team and the best player on the pitch was a 21 year old Alan Ball who at that time played for Blackpool.
