Agreed that it’s not necessary (food / shelter etc.) but nor is this place. I have an X account. I log in about 10 times per year, tops. I get the info (or not) that I want and log off again.
I’m sure many people also get use out of it for whatever reason.

....its not food or shelter, you dont need an alternative.....Im not telling anoyone to come off X or not, but an alternative isnt needed to not use it....just dont use it, simple.
