Unless the club has sights on another pacey winger to bring in that they fully believe in, then George, as others have said, should be a no brainer signing given that he looks promising at a reasonable price and is still very young, so we'll probably not lose anything on him (transfer fee-wise), even if he doesn't cut it for us.
My chief concern is this: If Grealish and George are with us next season, is an attacking set up (any three) of Grealish / N'Diaye / Dewsbury-Hall, Alcaraz, Dibling, George a good enough set up to be the creative outlet / supply line to our strikers?
Yes, the striker situation is also a concern, but let's assume we address that sufficiently this summer also.
Personally, I suspect we would still need a real dominant technically sound central midfielder to compliment that attacking line-up. I don't think we are anywhere near good enough in the centre of midfield as things stand, although again, there's the promise of Rohl and Armstrong, but I wouldn't want to rely on them for a whole season.

Has he scored? No
Created an assist? I’m not sure, dont think so.
Lack of game time? Yes? Not his fault.
He came on against Spurs and got us a corner within 15 seconds.
Could be great or another Danny Cadamatri
Or a great signing g for us?
Sign him? I don’t know?

if we get George it's because the transfer committee have pulled their weight
If we get Grealish then he'll be a Moyes pick
For me I'd be all over George
He's young, pacy, skilful, gets in a decent cross, potential sell on fee after getting 3 or 4 good years out of him
I think it's an either or just because I doubt George would come here to play 2nd fiddle to both Grealish and Ndiaye
He can stay at Chelsea and do that

Surely our option expires soon on George.
