Better roads spectacular scenery more knowledgeable fans and sometimes tougher weather although with climate change the snow on the climbs is disappearing quicker.

Less BS and media blowup than the TDF obviously less money but more of a pure cycling event than the TDF. I have been lucky enough to see them both live in the 1999s and 2000s and the Giro is the only one I would revisit.

But I get that most people prefer the TDF but after seeing many classics and both tours always be the Giro for me
