Dibling for £35M and Rohl for £20M who've played ~1000 minutes between them (in the League). And Alcaraz and Aznou too (both cheap) but barely/not played.
I don't mind spending money on a reserve keeper - that's needed (though thankfully Pickford is pretty reliable fitness-wise).
I would also suggest that the £25M he spent on Barry is at best a 50/50 success.
So of the roughly £130M he spent, only Dewsbury-Hall (£30M) has been an unmitigated success. That's pretty wasteful by anyone's metrics.
also 'a myth that .... recent performances have been terrible'
6 without a win - when it really matters and since the turn of the year, 6 wins in 18 PL matches.
'the assumption should be that more investment in the squad will increase performances on the pitch'
We spent £130M to gain maybe 4 points (if we win on Sunday) and maybe one place. I guess if we can just tap TFG up for another £450M we could get into the Europa League.
There genuinely are defences of Moyes - PaulC put up a quite thoughtful one. But the original aje post just isn't one of them.

'estimated wage bill'
why not use the wage bill, its in the accounts ?
and then to compare it with the league average when there are 4 or 5 clubs skewing it massively
no one is saying we should be rivalling city
but brentford, bournemouth, etc
are they that far ahead in wages ?
Moyes isnt over achieving at all
His predecessors were under achieving
we are now norming
we are where we should be, in fact probably a little below.
I like Moyes
but fucking hell there is a cold reality on display
