Seems to me that we had a few "lucky" away wins that meant we were overperforming and in with a shout of Europe.

We've then had a late season collapse (due to conceding late goals to Liverpool, West Ham, Man City) but performances haven't been abject.

This season I was expecting 8th-12th.

With Grealish and Branthwaite in the team we'd be very close to Europe, with them both injured it's not happening.

The drop off in results and performances and since the end of last season, despite adding to the squad, is worrying to say the least.

At least by including Dyches 19 games, you can hide the drop off from Moyes last season to this season in amongst last seasons numbers.

at best we will finish this season on 52 points.

But it's more than likely we will finish the season on 49 points. That's a 1 point gain on last season, a season that saw Dyche sacked for just 3 wins in 19 games.
