They (the management team) may possibly have slightly more information than you do on who should be starting for a Premier League football club. Fitness, training, tactics, morale, long-term planning, sports science, opposition analysis etc probably comes into it somewhere - loads of years of elite football experience.
But no, I’m sure some fella who’s recently appeared on TPF and definitely isn’t Spart or one of the the other serial doom merchants previously sacked off the forum has cracked it all.
IN BEFORE:
Does this mean fans can’t have opinions? No.
Does this mean Moyes is beyond criticism? Also no.
Does this mean the current form and league position are acceptable? It’s obviously more complicated than “everything is brilliant” or “everyone is useless”.
Does this mean only Scousers can comment? No.
Does this mean people should be able to post endless confident bollocks with absolutely no perspective? Also no.
There’s also a massive Dunning-Kruger element to football discussion online now. The less people actually understand about how elite football clubs operate behind the scenes the more absolute certainty they seem to have about selection, tactics, recruitment and management. You honestly have no idea how it all works. You watch it and go "this guy is shit, I know what I am going on about" and you don't see them train, you don't know the personalities, you basically don't know what you are talking about. You're an armchair pundit, and with respect, not a very good one.
Watching football for 20 years and playing five-a-side on a Thursday doesn’t magically make someone more qualified than people whose entire professional lives revolve around analysing players, coaching systems, performance data and elite competition. Maybe Moyes makes mistakes and maybe the players are crap and the board should be kicked out and blah blah blah - maybe. But in reality, we don't know - we're so far away from it that we only see the results. And in this game, the results are not, as commonly mistaken, all that matters. When it comes down to it, the team can be set up in a great way and then someone misses a sitter, someone does a silly back pass and the whole thing is fucked - small margins. I don't know what you people want to be honest. But I suppose you well tell us now.
