Your scenarios aren’t great. His arm was in an unnatural position. If you watch it back, the Celtic player was tussling with another Motherwell player, and the player who gave the penalty away came in at the last split second. The point about the player protecting his face lol, come on!!
Whatever happens in the derby is irrelevant; they’ve been given easier penalties than that against us. The simple fact is, as much as it is a bit of a soft penalty, the challenge was unnecessary and he put the referee in a position where he had to make a decision and it was a hand ball.
If it had been the other way around, nobody would have given a shit.
