Its the same with football matches
We've won plenty of games this season where we were distinctively 2nd best
We've won games with own goals, deflected goals, rebound goals
Our metrics would suggest we're higher than we should be
In game management has been poor - that's not luck
And although Grealish and Branthwaite have missed large parts of the season I think we've been really lucky with injuries
Players like Ndiaye, Garner, Beto, Tarkowski, O'Brien Pickford, haven't missed a game all season through injury bar the odd one
KDH missed 6 weeks but compared to other clubs we've been fairly lucky

FWIW I think TFG will be likely to give Moyes the next season and 2 transfer windows to change the squad to try and break into the Europe with a better financial stable position for the Club.
To be fair, with a bit more luck we might have got into Europe this season but I still think it is too soon.
After the Palace game, it was mentioned that at this point of the season we haven't won in the last 5 games and that is poor form going into the run in.
Not a million miles away to be honest but deficiencies defined exist and need to be solbed before August 2026. Previous Message
