The reason we've had such a traumatic last decade was 100% on the ownership, making bad decision after bad decision. The worst of which hiring DoF's in name only. It's a miracle we never got relegated. And it's because of that i'm ok with us keeping Moyes. I just want the constant churn and disruption that brings to stop
But at the same time we know Moyes, we know what he's like. And we'll just have to put up with it. He'll give us moments, yet equally he frustrate the fuck out of us. He is what he is. But the most frustrating thing for me is that he nailed it last season, he was brilliant. But for some reason he's reverted back to type this season, without the players needed (full backs) to make it work consistently. And he still relies too much on his favorites. Players who seem to get a free pass for underperforming week after week, yet other players only have to make one mistake in a game and they're bombed out.
I'm also more than willing to put my faith in the new owners and expensively assembled recruitment team of experts if they decided that a change would be best to move us forward
I want us to win something asap, not in 10 years when we might have sorted ourselves out of whatever issues we apparently have to sort

I'm happy for us to take a risk, I just think Glasner has been there and done more, won trophies with unglamerous teams etc so the risk is less.
I'm sometimes Moyes In and sometimes Moyes Out depending on my mood - there are pro's and con's.
We probably should be patient but in some ways I don't want us to be. Our expectations have been battered in the past 30 years and we all think we should take our time, regain solidity etc.
Then you look at Villa, came back to the Premier League in 2019, since then:
League Cup final
Fa Cup semi final
Conference League semi final
Champions league football - and quarter final
Europa league final
In those seasons we've got to 3 league cup quarter finals and 1 FA Cup quarter final. They finished above us every season apart from the first two they came back up (and only finished 1 place below us in the 2nd season)
Wasting another season of finishing 9-12th just feels like a painful.
If a relegated club can be turned around in that way, why can't we. Yes, previously the shit show off the pitch was a big factor, especially the fucking ridiculous owners but that's changed now, its time for us to wash the stink of "safety is good enough" from the whole club.

the Basque shiny new thing flavor of the month
These things can't be rushed. Let Moyes rebuild in his image then we'll be set for a completely different guy

I think we're too early for him, clearly done well at Bournemouth but there is zero pressure there.
I also think it's too early for us, we are still rebuilding a squad, still have off the pitch structure settling down, still rebuilding scouting, data and youth setups.
Bournemouth have been on a good unbeaten run but before that, they didnt win in 11 league games, they've won the same amount of games as we have but have benefitted from lots of draws. Given the fine margins of the Premier League, they could easily have been wins, could just as easily have been losses.
For me, he's currently in the same bracket as Potter, Frank etc. Brilliant season in a low pressure role.
He has done really well at rebuilding the team after the loss of almost his entire back line and then been able to handle the loss of Semenyo to City, he also appears to trust youngsters, although that maybe because they don't have anything else so have to go with them.
There is definitely a good manager in there but I don't think its the right time, or the right fit for us to be his jump up to the next level.
Too big a risk for me.

Take from it what you will:
Branthwaite - Over in Germany and is responding well. Belief that he may get in the bulk of preseason if he continues on his current recovery path.
Iraola - According to his concrete source, if we approached Iraola re: managers job then Iraola would be willing to have the conversation. Palace are clearly in but he is in no rush right now to commit to them. The Bobble however says he does not have any info as to whether TFG would have an interest in him or not.
Wilson - Leaving Fulham on a free at the season end. We still hold an interest in him after our interest in January and have expressed that to his agent.
Preseason - Not new news but European destination is likely.
Regarding Iraola - What would you do?
