and they have control of the camera views sent to the ref to watch?

Without VAR the ref makes the decision based on his observations. Since VAR was introduced, the Refs role has diminished almost to the point where they are just whistle blowers reliant on VAR to make key decisions.

The panto of sending the ref to look at the screen is just a visual exercise to show fans that the Ref and VAR are working in unity..... I doubt this very much as VAR has the power of all camera angles and is choosing what it shows to the Ref.

Also, we know that VAR has got decisions wrong and if the powers that be were as honest as they pretend.... what are they doing about it? The PL has allowed shirt pulling and gamesmanship to thrive under its watch. they could stop it tomorrow and make shirt pulling and holding an instant red card.... will they? not a chance.

The fault is at the top table with the decision makers, Refs are just a cog in a wheel.
