Why did Dyche come to Everton when he is based in Nottingham?
Why did Lampard come to Everton when he is based in London?
In the case of Iraola, the real questions is why he is leaving Bournemouth in the first place.

A club based in the north of England with a much bigger and more successful team based in the same city.
A club that has flirted with relegation for years and hasn’t won a trophy since 1995.
A club whose current squad is no better than Bournemouths.

I have no idea what Bournemouths transfer committee or policy looks like but I'm sure Iraola has some major part in it.
Moyes gets a veto on what players do and don't come in. Is that right too?

It’s a shame we didn’t have a cup run and annoying that we haven’t had a statement win at Hill Dickinson against a top side (maybe Chelsea, but they’ve been shit for a while).
But we needed a season of stability and to lay some foundations and Moyes has done that.
With so many teams banking on Champions League and not getting it, stability is key now. Last thing we want is a risky managerial appointment.
Palace are offering Iraola full control of transfers. No thanks!

It would be very sad if Moyes left us on a sour note after all he has done for us but at the same time if we keep him on any longer we will just get more of the same. Moyes is not a dinasaur but he is very much the leopard that will never change his spots.
In my opinion we have man for man a better squad of players than Bournemouth. However Bournemouth might be in the Champions League next year because they have manager who goes into every game believing he can win whereas we have a manger who on too many occasions has gone out to just get a point.
I dont know whether Moyes will be let go at the end of the month but I definitely wouldn't give him a new contract. His remit when he came back was to get us out of relegation trouble and transition the team from Goodison to HD. He has achieved both in spades and I thank him for it. Moyes was meant to be a bridge and nothing more.
The Friedkin era will not begin in earnest until they bring in their own man who is in line with their vision.
