The Premier League will remain that way until SCR kicks in and the financial impact of that allows the bigger-spending clubs to tilt the League (as it did pre-PSR).
PSR stops teams simply outspending the rest of the division and into the Top 4 (or now 5). The PSR cheat code is the buy young and cheap, develop them, sell them for mega-bucks and then repeat (the 3 Bs (Brighton, Bournemouth, Brentford) model).
There's still a massive correlation between wage bill and finishing position - but after the TFG stabilisation of the club (and the extra £ we make at Bramley Moore) we can probably get to Top 10 wage bill (ranked highest to lowest).
There's no reason that next season we couldn't be where Bournemouth are today - though that's also true of Sunderland, Leeds and pretty much everyone else in the middle of the division.
But we've got to get better and smarter about how we go about things. We've got to buy well (and the manager has to actually play and develop the players we buy). We've got to get younger and faster (it's a young man's league nowadays) and the nucleus of the team has to become much more based around Branthwaite, Rohl, Armstrong, Garner as opposed to Tarkowski, Gueye, Grealish.

Real shame. Hill Dickinson was built for big European nights.
