He plays right midfield for Villa, so he could be the new McNeil and block Dibling still further.
The only way this makes sense is if we plan to move O’Brien infield and so no Tarkowski, potentially no Gueye is a lot of experience on the bench so looking to bring a veteran in to manage things on the pitch. Previous Message

A slightly above average plodder (but still most definitely a plodder) the wrong side of 30 who brings us nothing we don't already have.
Do we want to be seen as an attractive club that up and coming talent see a clear opportunity or a place for that one last contract before punditry comes calling?
Yes, he's a "Moyes type player," but I definitely don't want to spend the next 3 years watching Moyes type percentage football. It's nothing more than treading water.
I'd hope the owners have greater expectations than Blue Bill and ask some difficult questions before any decision is made.
