I think he is another who would massively benefit from a decent fullback behind him and move movement in front of him. Currently we give him the ball then largely stand still hoping he will do something with it, he's often double teamed (especially since there was no Grealish needing this treatment as well) and has to operate in small pockets with few options.
A full back who occassionaly goes past him (and is worth passing to) and a striker with clever movement would open up all sorts of options for NDiaye to add more goal involvements going forward.
His ball control is a joy to watch, the end product will go up if we add more and more quality around him. He has just turned 26 and is coming into his prime years, I hope they are with us.

I think teams have realised that if you give him a yard of space, he’s very dangerous. So the smarter teams are out-muscling him (he’s quite a slight figure) and/or stopping him (cheap foul) before he gets that yard of space.
Robertson played him very well yesterday and he’s not an especially good fullback, he was just given a clever game plan to follow.
N’diaye would be amazing in a less physical, more technical league. As it is, he’s really good here, just not quite good (or physically strong) enough for a CL team to pay > £50M for him.

would anyone else like to see what he could have done with the money we spent over the summer
He was here for 3 years
He brought in
Onana (£20m profit)
McNeil (nearly got our money back recently)
Maupay (small loss)
Garner (worth 3 times what we paid)
Gueye (bargain)
Tarkowski (free)
Beto (would easily get our money back)
Chermiti (not helped by injuries, small loss)
Young (free transfer)
O'Brien (would double our money)
Ndiaye (bargain)
Iroegbunam (would double our money)
The 3 years he was here he had to sell to buy and not only did those 3 years result in a £90m profit but he also brought down the wage bill
Considering he was operating with both hands tied behind his back with the likes of Beto bought because we didn't have to pay anything for 12 months then when you look at what we've done since he left you do wonder what he could have done with money to spend
It might have also given us some stability at a time of upheaval
