I'm not sure that replacing him with a higher calibre striker (should we be able to attract one) would necessarily translate into a significantly bigger goal return. Look at all the other sides in the Prem, aside from Haaland and Igor Thiago, there aren't many banging them in week in week out. It's a different game these days. Where I think we could improve is more goals from the midfield and wide players. I think we need a pair of more attack-minded full-backs to help with this, first and foremost.
Should be an interesting summer anyway.

picking up strikers who can bag 8 to 10 goals a season is not easy - bird in the hand etc.

I personally don’t see it

People keep forgetting that if we qualify for Europe then we will need more than one option on each flank - in fact a lot more cover for rotation, injuries, suspensions - if we have a run in the League and FA Cup - then we are going to need more. So Grealish plus two more on the left is a real requirement.
We will not off load Barry - he is a develeopmental player only 23 - half a season in the Prem (A project) and we will only have written down just one year of his fee - so little upside. Barry is going nowhere.

what are the options
hes clearly a talent like lookman
possibly a better option than grealish, if ndiaye stays, and that leaves
the Southampton lad who one of their fans told me he couldnt believe we paid north of 30 million.
so a jigsaw, but a good one
priority is to offload Barry and get someone in that understands footy at least on the level of Beto
Greed used to have to put on makeup and sit at the table pretending to be ambition.
Now it gets its own place at the head of the table, beating its chest and demanding more.![]()
