I think the ‘bottled it’ opinion is more a general opinion based upon years of Everton finding themselves in a position to win a critical match and elevate ourselves into real contention to achieve something. Europe in this case. Yet, time after time, Everton don’t take the opportunity to do so when it presents itself.
Personally, I think we’re more or less where I think this team should be given its quality. I do however think we should have edged that today.
We’ve got a tough run in. It’s 50/50 as to whether we get Europe or not, if you ask me.
Champions League is a daydream and not realistic but Europa or even Conference League would still be great.

Brentford are not in this position because they are a bad team.
They play very direct, aggressive, football and have a snide striker.
Very few teams will come away with a win from there.
Kelleher made a number of excellent saves to keep them in the game and their second goal was a deflection.
I don’t agree with people who say we bottled it.
