Any time he appears in public, the signs are there. It's not just the bragging and lying anymore. The difference from 10 or even 5 years ago is clear. He can barely string a sentence together, obviously has trouble connecting thoughts, appears to have a diminishing vocabulary (not that it was ever impressive) and frequently slurs his words.
These aren't things that are directly linked to old age - symptoms like these are more common in elderly people because dementia is more common in elderly people.
