The People's Forum: Pogues used to do a Christmas show at Brixton every year, it was brilliant

But I think that was more because it was a load of us getting together for a pre-Xmas drink up, having a big night out then usually back to someone’s house till the early hours.

Really good memories of simpler times that look back on with fondness and as such the pogues are associated with that by default.

Funny how certain songs/albums/bands are associated with memories and we love them because of that more so than the song/ambum/band actually being that great!

Just watching an 80s Top of the Pops repeat, great nostalgia, but I realised without ever thinking about it that I never liked New Order, at all. Not even one of their singles, even a little bit. Formulaic pseudo-techno shite.
