I make my way to the pitch where my heated seat next to the friendkins is ready for me.
the team comes out- the once laughed at now revered move to play mpabbe at left back and vini jr at right back has paid off. we have won every game 36-0. jordan pickford is that quiet he paints caricatures of people in the goal for charity. we havenot had a single foal against us all season.
top scorer michael keane our centre forward saviour is stuck on 59 goals a record he refuses to go beyond so spends most f the match setting up other players for the 36-0 victory.
our kits however are still a bit shit.

slow and steady progress is easy to say, but needs definition.
In a years time, we will have had two more transfer windows to help us improve. I have not forgotten how well our decline was managed over the years and as a result I think progress should be more defined.
I would think minimum of twp places better in the league this time next year would be progress, anything else is stagnation.
I would also say the the league is the standard for bench marking, the Cups are one offs and no indication of overall progress (see Palace this year). The higher up the league you go, the better chance you have of attracting better players and obtaining trophy success.
Lets set the bar at 6th next season and have a target for progress.
