Surely it's better (in his old-school mind) to drop off and close it out?
I'd bring George on so we had a counter-attacking threat when we boot clear, but what do I know?
But I'd say in the manager's head, with twenty minutes to go, and remembering past collapses of ours, he's only interested in the win, not the feelings or experience levels of Tyler Dibling.

And possibly they don’t deliver because he doesn’t use them frequently or throws them on as a job lot in the last 10 mins?
Or should we just stop using any subs?

Why would the manager start to trust them now?

I think he left it too late to make subs that would make any difference and we should be looking to use the fresh legs more and give young players some game time. We can tell starters to play as if they are only getting 60 mins and empty the tank in that time as we have players who can come on.

Barry is one of the young lads who needs exactly this type of opportunity

We've got young lads on the bench who need game time and let's face it, even Everton aren't letting 2 golas in against this lot.
It's as close to a free pass as you you can be given.
