Lived off Prescot Road, so our 'university' was the Sheil Park, could hold it's own in any 'Ivy League' of Merseyside pubs I reckon.

Huyton was while I was at University, so late 70s.
Parkgate must have been around June/July '85 because my daughter had just been born I think and my wife couldn't go.
I can't remember where though

When I was a kid, I religiously watched TOTP and followed popular music closely.
However, this man ( who was far from glam rock as you could get at the time ) occasionally popped up on certain late evening TV Programmes in the 70s and I was always curiously fascinated by the subjects of his songs and use of words and have been recently discovering him again.
He spent some time teaching in France and was
heavily influenced by George Brassens and Jacque Brel
A Love Song.
