Sort of side note, I do wonder how much of Moyes’ titty lip, yesterday, was aimed at the owners / lack of activity in the Jan window. He pointedly spoke about how fantastic the players have been (‘no problem with the players at all’) but was clearly pissed off - and I don’t think it was just the result.
On the one hand, I’d fully agree with him if he felt he hadn’t had the necessary support in January. We can all see our incredibly glaring needs so I doubt he’s blind to them. On the other, if I were the Friedkins I’d be pointing to the huge outlay in the summer (including the best part of £60m on Dibling, Alcaraz and Aznou) and wondering whether they really got full value for their money.

I was surprised by the comments on here about him being shit, although they seemed to be mainly based on his goal return for Wolves which is fair given all strikers are judged on there goal return but obviously playing as part of that Wolves team is a serious negative for any striker.
It will be interesting to see where he ends up in terms of goals now he is playing in a team of similar standard to ours.
Easy to say it when he’s got two goals already tonight but I can’t see him scoring less than either of our strikers come the end of the season.
Palace paid a huge price for him but I still think he would have been a great signing for us.
Time will tell I guess.
