Below 12th would be very disappointing. And it’s good to update expectations based on how the season is going.
But even still, finishing top half would be decent. Above 10th would be amazing progress.
We need to be able to enjoy unexpected wins (which have mostly come away) without that leading to too much negativity when reality bites. Let’s enjoy the ride and not let missing out on Europe replace a relegation battle as something to stress about.

We’ve stepped up to stay clear of relegation, I guess, but every time we seem to have an opportunity to take that next step up…we falter. Top six opportunity, tonight? Forget it. Utd semi is the last time I actually remember us taking the big opportunity in front of us. We’re not entitled to win all/any of these games, of course…it just feels like we’re constantly dropping the ball.
We’re the physical manifestation of the Roy Hodgson meme.
I think I’m more frustrated at nights like tonight than some of the stuff we had to watch under Lampard, Benitez, Dyche. At least then we knew we were shit.
I received my ‘Goodison Seat’, this weekend. It was one of the beautiful wooden seats with the white numbers. Except they’d painted over the fucking thing. Felt entirely appropriate.
