But there was also one where Ndiaye cut it back across goal and laid it on a plate but Barry was too slow and didn’t get in front of the CB. That should have been a goal (and a beautiful assist from Ndiaye).

Ndiaye also had the ball in the net didn’t give away possession much, which is crucial for us given how shit we’ve been at retaining the ball in the final third in recent years.

I thought he did fine.

Ndiaye - absolute mustard, as ever. George looks like there’s a real player in there, but a few passes to nobody were frustrating. Gana was so far off the pace. We should have been out of sight but, as ever, you don’t get that second when you’re absolutely bossing it and it’s pretty inevitable.

I took a punt on the family seating in an attempt to mitigate the fucking obscene ticket prices, my lad’s 18 soon so it was probably the last chance for that. Plenty of young kids having a great night, and in general a lovely area apart from the one bloke constantly calling Myko a cunt.
Ah well. Good father-son bonding night and an important lesson for him on how some idiots boo and abuse their own team. Fans like that, we deserve results like that.

Final thought. Stadium is nice and easy to get around, a doddle getting through the gates and to your seat - but that pinch point in the corner coming through the dock wall is crazy. Assuming there’s some historic reason why that can’t be made wider??
