Whilst you feel for a player when things don’t go right, that was hardly a catastrophe for him last night, yet he seemed to be resigned and lost. Be annoyed, live and learn, but you have to move on, show some steely resolve and work tirelessly to put right the wrongs. That’s the type of player we need and more importantly the type of player that succeeds in top level sport. Barry’s very obvious fragility in that moment was the first time I have strongly believed that he’s not going to cut it here.

Seems a bit of a fragile/confidence player rather than the steely character we need, but he’s young I guess.

We’ve stepped up to stay clear of relegation, I guess, but every time we seem to have an opportunity to take that next step up…we falter. Top six opportunity, tonight? Forget it. Utd semi is the last time I actually remember us taking the big opportunity in front of us. We’re not entitled to win all/any of these games, of course…it just feels like we’re constantly dropping the ball.

I received my ‘Goodison Seat’, this weekend. It was one of the beautiful wooden seats with the white numbers. Except they’d painted over the fucking thing. Felt entirely appropriate.
