Although the headline might be appear negative, the context isn’t.
They (coaching staff and Moyes) clearly think he is talented. But he needs to show it on the pitch.
The league is brutal. He is a kid. He’s someone who maybe needs a bit longer than others to adjust. It’s a big move for him, bigger club, bigger stadium & fans, more pressure and expectation.
However, patience and time is in short supply. The arrival of George should be “a wake up call”.
You want a first team place ? Then you’ll have to fight for it. Everton will give him the tools (coaching, enthusiasm, an arm around him) but he needs to show progress.
I think he needs to go on loan to get regular first team football. He is not progressing sitting on the bench - that’s doing no one any favours.
I suspect he is a “young” 19 year old. Very much like I was at his age. By moving elsewhere, it will give him a chance to mature out of the spotlight.
Someone posted a while ago that both Grealish and Ndiaye at his age where playing lower down the league - getting that experience which helped them progress.
I do think Moyes is right.

Just shut the fuck up and do your managing in-house.
How can saying that about a kid help anyone?
