taking back an injured player who isn't part of their plans anyway isn't in their interests. Unless either there's an injury clause in the agreement (doubt it) or we make it worth their whole by agreeing a deal to buy him or loan again when he returns. Hard to see it. Think we had the same situation with Broja and again I think we will just have to suck it up.

If he is out for months rather than weeks, we need to explore terminating his loan and freeing up that loan space. Use the money on another loan signing. Probably won't be that easy with it being Everton though

There isn't any official news yet other than he "has sustained a foot injury" and he "will be reviewed by a specialist in the coming days" with "further updates provided in due course" but the usual reliable sources are saying it's 3 months...

If that's the case then - given the way these timescales usually work with us! - personally I'd be surprised if we see him play for us again this season, and obviously that could mean that he's already played his last game for us, which would be a shame for all the reasons mentioned below.
