There’s tiers where players want to go - CL, EL, ECL, everyone else - and being in the latter group makes it hard to get business done until the last few weeks of the window, which means we usually start half baked. That will be even worse in a World Cup year, as well.

Even being able to bring our recruitment forward a week or two would help us.

I’m really not arsed about Europe this year
It’s lovely going to the game/thinking about the next game not thinking it’s vital - personally I needed a season off.
I’d also add that the squad is nowhere near ready for the extra games, & while I’d welcome the away trips & the experience seeing us struggle on too many fronts isn’t what I want - we need to sort home form out first ?

I saw a post on X today that made me think. We are now going into the last 16 games of the season 4pts off 4th place with Gana, Jarrad, KDH and Illy to improve the squad with Charlie, Keano to add depth and Barry, Rohle and Harrison showing some good form of late.

The prospect of having a RB (Patterson) in place rather than JOB seems to make the team more solid.

I guess, time will tell.
