if Gana's leaving at the end of the season (who knows?) then you ideally want Rohl and Armstrong getting minutes as you want them fully up to PL speed next season.
But, Gana might make us more sold in the short term and increase the points tally which might get us into Europe...tricky choice.

Possibly, but there's no reason to bring him straight back in.

Garner - Nailed on starter.
Rohl - Handled himself well yesterday.
Armstrong - Tempting to send our apologies to Preston and keep him.
Irogbunam - Minor injury.
KDH - should be back early/mid Feb.

When Everyone is fit (unlikely) he's competing with Garner, Irogbunam, Rohl and KDH for one of the deeper 2 midfielders.

Even if Armstrong goes back to Preston and KDH goes back to his advanced role that's still 1 player from 3. We may well be in the last few months of his Everton career unless he's happy to accept a very minor role next season.
