Looks like Röhl is starting to show what he can do. He still took a few unnecessary risks in the middle of the part trying to dribble past too many players but he'll learn. Barry is starting to get his shooting boots on, but as I said below there's still toughing up to do. When he is one-on-one with a defender he just looks uncertain, almost scared to me. To me that's by far his biggest weakness now that he's started scoring. I like how many high balls he wins and he's got decent technique. Oh, a bit more aggressive getting in to positions would be nice as well, if I can make a wish.
Patterson was better than he has been but I felt he still gives far too much space to their left winger. Mykolenko on the left of even O'Brien never does that so I don't think it's tactical. He just drifts too far inside. And while Keane has played well I think O'Brien in the middle is better just for the pace alone. Although I'm not so sure if his partner should be Tarkowski...
I did say around the change of the year how nice it is to be safe already so this was definitely a bonus for me. What I expected was that we'd easily win the minimum of about three matches to be absolutely sure in any case. Now if Moyes could find a way to create chances at home we would be challenging for Europe. Otherwise we will be in the mushy middle.
