Another complaint ive read was that your choices don't really have any consequences. They absolutely do.
The side quest are varied. Some better than others as is always the case in RPG's. Collect this, take it here etc. But on the whole they're pretty good.

Just too repetitive. Small levels that mostly work the same: a village and after which wilderness and enemies await. Do whatever you do, get back to base where some new stuff might be found. Rinse and repeat. And I could never get invested in the story, felt very cut-and-dried.

There's so much content in it. Some of the quests could be games on their own. The final mission of the main story is split into 3 acts and is epic on every level.
Combat is the highlight for me.

And they're the game reviewers i respect most. High praise indeed from Mortismal, who is more of a CRPG guy.
I used to like SkillUp until he lost his mind over Dragon Age the Veilguard, which is excellent imho. 160 hours i put into that.
