To avoid extra time & penalties all together and to get a result on the day negating a stagnant stalemate how about the team that scores first in normal time goes through if the scores are level on 90.

Would hopefully see an attacking game from the off and even better game should one team score first.

Not sure on a nil nil scenario mind you ......
