We beat Liverpool, who are rock bottom, but that game was even tbh
We beat Chelsea, but they battered us, 6 or 7 times they hit the woodwork. Another day, we'd have lost 8-1
We have some decent players but I'm not convinced by the coach. We shouldnt be top4, but we should be better than we are.
Chelsea, City, Arsenal, have invested a lot, their squads are years ahead. United too. But no reason we aren't next in line.
Womens footy is improving. But there is a gulf between the top 12-16 teams in Europe and the rest

City were no great shakes today, but in fairness they didn't have to be. I'm wondering where the team that hammered the shite 4-1 in the opening fixture have gone? You watch games like that today and you have to have a little chuckle at Karen Carney demanding equal pay for the women players. They're light years away

TFG have now been in place for a year and whilst, in the background, I am sure a lot of good work has been done and achieved, we still see the same less positive and really radical changes from the last 10 years or so. On the pitch.
I am trusting that things will improve over all aspects of EFC, but it is a real chore being a fan at times!

Turgid stuff, every bit as listless as the men yesterday
