Whether I or anyone else rated them or not, those players made up a big chunk of our team last season and every minute they contributed has been replaced.

It's a massive job and one that is far from complete. The work that was done last summer was also done largely without an exec team, most of whom eventually joined at the end of the summer.

The club was obviously trying to find players for the future as well as players for now, and were clearly trying to get the balance right so that we didn't end up with another squad packed with players at the end of their value.

Elsewhere I see posts calling for stability and the need for a long-term plan whilst also stating that Moyes should go in the summer. Since our exec team has largely been in place less than six months maybe we should try to give them a bit of time to come up with the plan before rolling the managerial dice again.

I don't know why I'm bothering with all this really. The point is - let's all just have a bit of patience. It's bananas.
