He's still in there somewhere. Maybe he knows he's on the hook for the players he signed but not knowing what to do with them and he's feeling that pressure. We're missing players, but so are others. He needed to show that he could adapt without them and bring through the lads signed in the summer. Either they're all shit or he cant do his job in that respect.
Whatever, the shine of this manager has dulled considerably in the last couple of months or so.
All that said, I can see him sitting the senior players down and finishing this season off with a more than respectable flourish and we'll probably get top ten IMO. It'll be a very respectable season in the end but one scarred by this winter.

11 points up vs this time in 2025. City and Villa next up (+8), then Arsenal (+6).
It’s frustrating at times, I agree. Moyes is not without his faults, I agree. But the progress is indisputable. There’s no guarantee at all that the next flavour of the month doesn’t turn into one of the many pumpkins we’ve endured over the last decade+.
Again, I’m not preaching giving the man a permanent pass. But I think we can allow for a bad patch when he has (literally) half the squad unavailable and has only had one transfer window to try and improve things.
