Moyes seemed as frustrated as anyone, whether he was at least partly to blame by letting the perfect be the enemy of the good, whether the players we really wanted wouldn't come - possibly a bit of both. Whilst we're not the biggest draw in European football, it is frustrating that the likes of Brentford and Brighton - even Sunderland - seem to be able to land better players at lower cost without too much trouble.

That's one area that definitely needs to improve. Though I think it's too soon to be writing off the bulk of our summer business.
