I’m not even sure that a one year extension offers that, tbh. A move upstairs, into a GM type role with a young coach (Carsley?) under him maybe gives the continuity and transition needed?

I dont like managers being in their final year, it generally creates unnecessary chatter and focus.
So this summer we either extend, or replace
