There was Lescott playing brilliantly ahead of Baines and no need to move Lescott back. Baines knew he’d have to work to get past this hurdle but also that Lescott wouldn’t be there for ever. Baines was also returning to the club and from the area so had less issue than Dibling in that respect.

I wouldn’t expect to see any signings in this window, but I wouldn’t mind seeing some leave.
Beto, McNeil, Keane among others who might get a fee from a team in desperate need. Wouldn’t mind recouping our outlay on Dibling either. He’s certainly got talent, but I think his shyness and homesickness is really impeding his progress at Everton.
