So we can maybe say the media is quiet on Gaza because they are all in the pockets of Israel..some truth maybe, but that doesnt explain Sudans lack of coverage, no there is a much more simple explanation....clicks, that awful shooting yesterday will get millions, a story from Sudan wont.

I dont know what the answer is, but somehow expecting the media to be better is futile ....why would they be? Too many people dont trust the state enough to believe a state affiliated news provider can be 'impartial', so that only leaves wealthy folk or groups of wealthy folk. Why on earth would they fund a news provider and not want it to reflect their views in some way?

We need to teach people what news and media is and isnt, rather than cling to some unrealistic vision of what we want them to be.
