We have the players to create chances, but not to put enough of them away. I entirely get your point about being better to wait for the summer, but I think top 8-10 may be beyond us on the basis of our current scoring rate. Perhaps the best option would be to try and get a striker on loan for the 2nd of the season.

I think its top 8 or 10. if we can get top 8 thats a great year. I would rather weight and do 60m on a single striker up top in the summer/ post world cup.
2/3 seasons of top 8 and a cup run would be great progress while we are waiting for the commercial team to catch up as they are starting to do.

We simply cannot go on like this without a focal point in our attack.
We’ve had some absolutely dreadful forwards in my time, I’m sadly old enough to remember enduring John Spencer et al.
If we have any European football aspiration, this has to be addressed in January.
Then buy two full backs pronto.
