All in all it was a good performance which could have been made all the better if we had a really decent striker.
I watch Barry's movement* in the box and I still can't fathom what he's doing. It's often away from the ball and into a position behind one or two defenders. Thing is, he never seems to use the element of surprise and come back in front of them or the keeper. Instead he seems to be waiting for mistakes ahead of him to present him with chances. Not something I'd associate with a predatory striker.

We were opened up a few times in the first half and then more as we chased in the second half.

In work yesterday and didnt see the game although radio commentary suggested we were the better team in the first half.
Ulimately it came down to taking your chances. We failed with 4 they scored with 2 of their 3.
Their team and bench cost billions whilst we are slowly transitioning from shopping in LIDL and trying to replace over a dozen players.
We all know our weaknesses and in time they will be addressed. Right now we are competetive rather than run of the mill and if we had a goal poacher we would be in the mix for top 8 a far cry from the last few seasons.
I am enjoying Everton agsin thats the difference and the hope has returned thanks to TFG and Moyes.
We will win a few lose a few and the AFCON is probably timely as it will confirm to the owners just how reliant we are on a few players.
