Been doing a lot more driving than usual lately

I don't think I am imagining it - driving standards have deteriorated massively in recent years. I've had numerous people pulling out right in front of me, forcing me to brake hard, tailgaters flashing and beeping me on single track winding roads when there were several other cars in front of me and no way to overtake, one guy trying to force me from a short slip road into fast moving dual carriageway traffic...honestly, is this a reflection of the angry, impatient, selfish society we live in? There have always been inconsiderate, reckless and just plain bad drivers around but it seems to have gone to a new level recently. Do others find driving on UK roads to be particularly vexatious?

I know too much, it's freakin' me out
But there's gold under the rust
Figuring out just how to live
I'm so afraid you're finding me out
But there's something in the rough figuring out just how to live
