Yes, we've seen a few calamitous moments over the years, but even in a season (this season) in which he's arguably been one of our best players if not our best player, still it's only ever said begrudgingly through gritted teeth. It's as though no-one's willing to accept the fact that Keane is actually a pretty decent player.
He was signed on again as our 4th choice, and he's done a largely excellent job for a prolonged period of time this season when he's been called upon.
Only insanity would lead any club to sell a 4th choice centre half that's been playing to his standard.
Next summer, we will I'm sure look at his situation again, but any talk of his exit prior to then is the talk of imbeciles or those with a grudge.

He has proven his worth this fall, and do you honestly think we would get someone better in for the money we would get for him in January? A fourth choice cb is definitely needed, especially considering JOB often needs to fill in at rb. As you said, we should at least keep him this season.

Keane’s done a job but in my opinion he’s fourth choice, filled in and but we keep less clean sheets when he plays.
Future is O’Brien and Branthwaite, present is two from three including Tarks with Keane as backup.
My opinion, let’s see who’s sniffing around Keane in January if he’s out the side.
Seems a nice fella and I’d give him another year but 4th choice for me all day long.

Better yesterday than before. More suited to their style of play, or was it playing next to "not-Keane"?
