It was Will Grigg’s on fire and then every club, country, sport, broadcaster decided to use it for everything!

I do think there's something we could do to Eleanor Rigby - the link to The Beatles makes it more appropriate...
Iliman Ndiaye
Picks up the ball on the wing and he weaves down the line
Moves like a dream
Waits on the touchline
Wearing his socks all rolled down as he skips on the pitch
He's a Toffee
...I'll get my coat

Yeah I expect quite a few will agree with you on the Arsenal one but I think it works, I know there’s a common theme around the “forced” football songs aka Jamie Webster and the like but I think there are a few that work well.
The Ndiaye one from Ryan Rooney (I think it is) I’m surprised hasn’t been adopted more in the ground given we have nothing else for him, seems like songs for individual players is dying out although maybe that’s because we haven’t had many players worth singing about for a while, Pickford is the only one who seems to get sung about a lot and Coleman whenever he makes an appearance of course.

Agree with Sunshine on Leith - that vid of post cup final is spine tingling.
North London Forever though is just (IMO) try-hard manufactured dirge

Flower of Scotland makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up, every time and whether its the Football or the Rugby on TV I'll always pause and take it in.
Sunshine on leith when Hibs do well is the same and more recently, Arsenal's North London Forever.
Something about a full stadium belting those out that just gets to me, I get the same buzz from the siren and the start of Z-Cars but I'd love us to have a similar song to those above that have more raw emotion to them.
Spirit of the blues is fun and sounds brilliant when its at full volume but those other types of song just get me.
Maybe I'm just getting more sentimental and emotional in my old age!
