I keep wondering how he went under the radar plying his trade in the Championship

of course he was younger and less developed as an all round player but still.

I never knew this but his family moved to England when he was 16 and he started with Boreham Wood as well as playing Sunday league. Seems funny to imagine him lining up against hungover fat blokes in a muddy park field.
