somehow it had escaped my notice that he was the kid who left Southampton for Chelsea as a teenager for big bucks, lasted a couple of weeks as he got homesick, re-signing for Saints almost immediately.
Not the most encouraging of precedents and given how tentative he's looked in his few appearances to date it does make you a little wary...
