A player in an offside position at the moment the ball is played or touched* by a team-mate is only penalised on becoming involved in active play by:
interfering with play by playing or touching a ball passed or touched by a team-mate or
interfering with an opponent by:
preventing an opponent from playing or being able to play the ball by clearly obstructing the opponent’s line of vision or
challenging an opponent for the ball or
clearly attempting to play a ball which is close when this action impacts on an opponent or
making an obvious action which clearly impacts on the ability of an opponent to play the ball

Keith Hackett seemed to think he wasn't

our goal was disallowed for offside not for any interference with their keeper
There was nothing wrong with their 2nd goal - I've seen more contact in netball
Pickford has to be stronger - he was simply out muscled - out muscling someone is not an offence

It’s abundantly clear that we’re utterly blunt, up front. We learned nothing new there and it needs to be addressed in January. But we created chances and were unlucky that none of the big moments went our way.
- Grealish should probably score in the second minute.
- Their opener comes off the shoulder of their attacker and lands perfectly on their guy’s head to nod in.
- Our ‘equaliser’ was VAR at its nitpicky worst. And won’t be given countless times.
- Their second followed a push on Pickford that’s no less egregious than our disallowed effort.
- We then saw Vicario make two or three very good stops. In contrast, Pickford really only had the shot from Richarlison (following Tarkowski’s error) to deal with.
- Arguably could’ve had a penalty (I didn’t think it was but others do).
That’s a lot of bounces of the ball that didn’t quite go in our favour. On another day, there’s enough to feel we’d have taken at least a point.

I didnt think we played that bad, certainly no different from games we have won this season. Unlucky / good saves with the chances we had.
Disappointing for any Everton team to lose goals from corners, once they had the goals Spurs managed the game. We take our chances its a different outcome. Critical we get a PL ready striker in Jan and find a system that creates them chances.
