Moyes clearly had a plan focusing on playing Myko higher up the pitch to support and create space forJack, while KDH was used to support the central striker. Spurs tactics seem to be criticised more than ours. However their set piece tactics certainly worked and in essence where the difference between the two teams. We had a lot of corners and some free kicks in range, but the delivery was mediocre at best and sometimes quite poor. Plus, we are just not very imaginative and corners of the set pieces. In more general play we did get a lot more crosses in the box the normal but the limits of our strikers and very good defending limited the effectiveness. Where we are not good is threading balls through the middle and if we are going to continue to play Beto this is aproblem. There is also the fact that Alcaraz is probably our best for playing these kinds of passes and is not currently a starter.

https://learning.coachesvoice.com/cv/everton-tottenham-october-2025-tactics/ I didnt think we played that bad, certainly no different from games we have won this season. Unlucky / good saves with the chances we had.
Disappointing for any Everton team to lose goals from corners, once they had the goals Spurs managed the game. We take our chances its a different outcome. Critical we get a PL ready striker in Jan and find a system that creates them chances.
